    AAC forum on winning pitches

Sleepless nights , blood, sweat and toil describe the efforts that go into putting together a pitch, which makes the pain of losing one that much more excruciating. With this in mind, the Africa Academy of Communications (AAC) is holding a forum next week Wednesday, 28 March 2007, in Johannesburg on how to put together a winning pitch.

“We all learn from sharing information and we are bringing in someone who has been successful in winning pitches, the most recent being Jiffy, Absa, MTN and SASOL,” says AAC academy manager Alexia Georgiou.

Leading the forum will be Mohale Ralebitso, deputy executive chairman of The Jupiter Drawingroom, who will go into detail about what sets apart a winning pitch.

Mohale has been driving strategy development for a number of leading international and local brands in the beverages, FMCG, financial services, ICT and broadcasting sectors. His repertoire includes deputy managing director of TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris and group development director of Liberty Group. Ralebitso is also the former chairman and co-founder of the Communications and Advertising Forum for Empowerment (Café).

Ralebitso is a graduate from the City University of New York, where he obtained a BA Honours in Political Science and a BA Honours in Sociology with a Psychology minor. He also spent two years as a researcher with the Ford Foundation Diversity Initiative at the Queens College, during which he worked on two published studies. Ralebitso completed his SEP at Harvard Business School in 1998.

The forum will be held at Harrison’s on 12th in Rivonia, Johannesburg, on Wednesday, 28 March 2007, 9am - 11.30am. Tickets cost R300.00. Bookings can be made through Alexia Georgiou on +27 (0)11 781 2772 or email .
