The project debuted in New York City in September 2014 and is on its way to Johannesburg, opening at the MOAD on the 16 April 2015. The project is a cross-cultural collaboration between New York experimental fashion designer Jenny Lai and South African based photographer Chris Saunders.
The purpose of the project was to highlight unique aspects of South African design and its processes through a series of collaborations between Jenny Lai and different South African creatives - Dennis Chuene, Floyd Manotana, Jean-Rene Onyagunga, Macdonald Mfolo and Manthe Ribane - from Cape Town, Johannesburg and their neighbouring townships.
The exhibition is proudly supported by Wunderbrand, MOAD (Museum For African Design, Johannesburg) and CTFC (Cape Town Fashion Council)
