    New Nando's ad features Bra Chris

    Airing for the first time last night, Thursday, 22 April 2010, the new Nando's ad - the second in the TV executions - shows Bra Chris calling for South Africans to play up to the misconceptions that we all carry out bags on our heads.

    This follows the first execution, which ruffled feathers when he called for all South African men to ‘Do it for their country' and take on multiple wives.

    “We have all heard of situations where a foreigner has asked whether we have lions that wander the streets or whether South Africa has supermarkets. This campaign is all about different misconceptions that foreigners have about South Africa and South Africans. We are taking a light hearted look at these false impressions and having a bit of a laugh at them…and ourselves,” commented Quinton Cronje, marketing director at Nando's.

    The new advertising campaign that rallies South Africans together in offering foreigners the best that the country has to offer, stars ‘Bra Chris' - a typical South African boytjie who is passionate about braais, Bafana Bafana and making sure we play the perfect host to visitors to the country.

    He will continue his quest to ensure ‘Only i-best for Ama-Visitors' over the next few months and already has a Facebook site and Twitter account activated, where his exploits will be documented. Radio and print executions will also follow and the public should keep an eye out for other unexpected places where Bra Chris and his rallying calls will pop up.
