First set of D&AD awards results include South Africans
Included in the 154 entries representing the best creative work of the year selected to go into the D&AD Annual are South African agencies - The Jupiter Drawing Room Cape Town; Draftfcb SA, Ogilvy Cape Town, and TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris Johannesburg.
Thirty-two of the entries have been nominated for a D&AD Pencil. The winners will be announced at the D&AD Awards Ceremony & Dinner on 3 June 2010 at The Roundhouse, London.
Of the 30% of judging completed, the nomination and In-Book results have been released for:

“We've shown that even a volcano can't stop judging from going ahead - an event that really showed the industry's commitment to D&AD, with people driving across Europe and changing their schedules at very short notice to be here,” said D&AD President Paul Brazier.
“There's also been speculation about the impact of the recession on creativity. From what I've seen so far, though, this all couldn't be further from the truth. Maybe it's because creatives are used to turning negatives into positives, but right now I'd say that great creativity is winning the day against the forces of the economy and nature.”
