KZNFC takes filmmakers to Cannes Film Festival 2015

As an official partner of the Producers Network in the Marche Du Film it will have a trade delegation of five filmmakers, fully funded by the commission. It is a co-sponsor of the Africa Film Factory, which will be launched at the Cannes Film Festival on 20 May 2015.
It will partner with Gagasi FM during the festival. It is KwaZulu Natal's leading commercial radio, catering for the provinces languages, IsiZulu and English. The partnership includes Gagasi FM's Teatime to Lunchtime presenter, Zookey Zarling's attendance at the film festival.
Zarling will keep listeners updated with what is happening, conduct interviews with local and international film industry personalities and give listeners movie giveaways through live crossings from the South African pavilion within the festival. This partnership will assist the people of the province to understanding why the Film Commission attends these platforms and how the province stands to benefit from a trade mission of this nature.
KwaZulu-Natal producers will be presented with an opportunity to give real time feedback on how their participation on this platform has and will assist in transforming their careers in film. The partnership also aims to educate the youth about opportunities in the film industry and how they can access those opportunities.
