Thebe Conventions, a specialist company within the Thebe Tourism Group has joined the leading international association, Meeting Professionals International (MPI).
MPI is the largest association for the meeting profession with nearly 19,000 members in 60 countries with international offices in USA, Europe and Canada. "As the global authority and resource for the meeting and event industry, MPI empowers meeting professionals to increase their strategic value through education, clearly defined career pathways, and business growth opportunities," says Zelda Ingram, General Manager of Thebe Conventions
"We are extremely excited to be part of MPI's first chapter in Africa, which is affiliated to the European chapter. Through our membership of MPI we are now connected to the global meetings industry and can tap into an extensive group of educational programs focused on global industry trends and best practices.

MPI's current membership ratio is 46 percent meeting planners and 54 percent suppliers.
