TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris\Cape wins Sarie account

Top Afrikaans women's magazine, Sarie, has announced the appointment of TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris\Cape Town as their advertising agency.

Says Sarie editor, Michelle van Breda: "What probably struck us the most was Hunt's grasp of the changing Afrikaans market. We have seen the same old stereotypes of the Afrikaans mind set come up again and again. It was exciting to receive an ad agency pitch that revealed a deep understanding of the 21st Century Afrikaans woman. We are delighted to partner with TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris\Cape Town, and believe that this is the impetus to propel Sarie into a great future."

Having recently won the FAIRLADY account, this is the second major Women's magazine from the Media 24 stable to appoint TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris\Cape Town.

"Gaining Sarie offers us great opportunities," said Nicky Swartz, Group Account Director, TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris Cape Town. "Creatively, we aim to set Sarie apart as a magazine that speaks to an Afrikaans reader who is both a woman of the world and uniquely South African. Sarie is all about "My Inspirasie" - to its readers and our team. Our work is to show eternal inspiration in ways that Afrikaans women of all ages relate to - with honesty, humour and emotion."
