Francois van Dyk, heads up Operations at Ornico, the Brand Intelligence research company. He is part of the management team that has seen Ornico expand across Africa, currently with data resources in 14 countries and employing more than 150 media enthusiasts.

Having been instrumental in the building of Ornico's extensive library of advertising and editorial references, Francois has seen first-hand the evolution of media monitoring and analysis from the now obsolete VHS, print hardcopy portfolios right through to cutting edge digital interfaces. He is now leading Ornico's vision to consistently evolve and improve research methodologies to address the changing needs of brands and organisations in emerging markets.

He studied and lectured public relations before entering the world of media research. He is an extreme news junkie who is passionate about media, contemporary and classic art, and is an avid bass guitarist.
