The Property Magazine promotes Josephine Swainbank

The Property Magazine - South Africa's fastest growing lifestyle magazine - has promoted Josephine Swainbank from national advertising manager to advertising director.

Tony Vaughan, publisher of The Property Magazine says, "Since joining us in March this year, Josephine took on a formidable challenge: to convince the often skeptical advertising agencies that both the editorial space of property and the innovative distribution model of The Property Magazine were valid for their corporate brands.

"Thanks to her drive and enthusiasm and absolute professionalism, Josephine successfully completed this ahead of schedule. We have had an unprecedented flood of advertisers that have realised the effectiveness of advertising alongside some of the most prestigious brands in the country and magnificent multi million rand properties on offer."

Josephine Swainbank will assume agency responsibility across three physical offices - Cape Town and Johannesburg plus Durban when The Property Magazine launches there in 2005.

Before joining The Property Magazine, Swainbank spent the past two years at South Africa's number one men's magazine, FHM, growing circulation by 20%, and significantly increasing advertising revenue.

Says Vaughan, "We deliberately set out to hire the top people for our product because we are raising the bar in the glossy property sector. In promoting Josephine we are demonstrating a massive commitment to the property industry and to other corporate advertisers that the relationship between the property industry and prestigious corporate brands is a powerful reality to benefit all."

After a successful launch in Cape Town in April, The Property Magazine launched in Johannesburg in October this year and deals with the property and lifestyle issues in an informative, lively and sometimes controversial manner.

The Property Magazine is distributed free to 90 000 A and B income homes in the Western Cape and Gauteng and to airline lounges, hotels, golf clubs, South African Embassies and Consulates worldwide and an initial 10 000 copies will be for sale nationally at leading newsstands including CNA for R19.95.
