EWN pioneers in Facebook Instant articles
EWN is leading the adoption of Facebook Instant Articles in South Africa, joining international users such as the New York Times and BuzzFeed.
Facebook launched Instant Articles early in May, allowing users to view articles instantly via their Facebook apps and improved the user experience, as Instant articles load up to 10 times faster than on the mobile web.
There is also potential for more interesting, interactive storytelling using Instant Articles. In addition to the benefits to the user, Instant Articles give publishers the opportunity to monetise posts via Facebook's systems, at no additional effort or cost to the publisher.
