Two young homeless people, Lebohang Mocheba and Alex Mosuke, made three short films with unused U-Matic video equipment that they had found. They happened to meet producer David Forbes while he was working on a UNICEF documentary. Impressed by what they had been able to do, Forbes helped them shoot extra footage, arranged donated time on DVCam equipment and an edit system, and managed to put together a film about 18 minutes long.
