Top canoeist fined for using ''springbok'' in ad
Champion canoeist Jacques Theron, a three-time winner of the Berg River Marathon, has been given a R5000 fine and a three-month ban, suspended for two years, by Canoeing South Africa for failing to remove the word "springbok" from personal advertising on the door of his vehicle. The advertising contravened the national policy on the use of national insignia, as described by the Sport and Recreation SA, and SA Sports Commission regulations.
