    Recruitment agency's - scam artists

what happened to doing business the honest way and when you are in the recruitment line, you should have people's best interests at heart not trying to think of the quickest way to steal their money and probably distroy them

During December 2006 I responded to an advertisement placed by a company in Klerksdorp for the position of air hostess for Emirates Airlines in Dubai. The ensuing saga which was full of untruths, manipulative promises and a host of strange events has left me angry and penniless.

Within days of completing indemnity and other forms, an “interview” with the “Prince of Dubai - Chairman of Emirates” accompanied by the owner of the company was held at a questionable Road House Lodge in Durban. The strangeness of the lack of personal security, the Receptionist not knowing anything about interviews and the extreme haste of the impending “contract” and departure to Dubai were obvious but these were overshadowed by the excitement and anticipation of the promised opportunities which lay ahead.

The group of applicants were told that all interviews were positive and departure for Dubai was imminent and would only be a matter of days. I gave up the five part time positions that I was holding down, my flat and my car and excitedly prepared for the trip. Gradually the one week became two and more weeks, all the time being told convincing stories of waiting for the contract documentation to the owner allegedly travelling to Dubai to ascertain that accommodation and other aspects were in order.

The weeks became months, which included a variety of excuses of the owner suffering health problems, including bronchitis, hospitalisation in Dubai with double pneumonia and heart failure (yet still able to fly back to S A in that condition?), cancer. During the “cancer” debacle, "the partner" took control of the situation.

Eventually during June 2007 my mother and I alternatively asked for my passport to be returned to me by courier and this turned out to be yet a further harrowing experience that culminated in my passport being returned to me in mid January 2008 following my threats of reporting their activities. The accusations and antagonism meted out by both the owner and the patrner during this time was obviously a ploy to intimidate “applicants” .

The alleged opportunities of the “contract” in Dubai would include a flat to share with a female room mate, 6 months of training in Dubai, 12 months practical experience on local flights with the remaining period of the 4 year contract to include international flights.

We were led to believe that cancellation of the “contract” would result in forfeiture of all funds which had been deposited to the account, as follows :

R750,00 - for visa ( which was alleged approved on 9 January 2007)
R3 000,00 - refundable on arrival in Dubai.

However, no contract has ever been signed. The blame for the continued antics described above are now being laid with sub-contractors who were allegedly appointed to ensure that the “opportunities” bore fruition and the owner continues to maintain her innocence but refuses to refund my money to me. She claims to have laid civil and criminal charges against the “sub-contractor” and undertook to give me supporting information, which is yet to come.

i feel so sorry for unsuspecting people who get taken for a ride, i will get to the bottom of these thieves!!,they do not know what is coming their way

NB: be so carefull of 2 woman from Klersdorp as they have not said a word of truth - they will have their carma and it will hurt them - once i sue them i will be going to the press and humiliate them that they would rather wish they could grovel in a hole and never be found!

never hand you money and passport to any recruitment agencies, once they have everything in writing(contract) then only do you pay what you owe and NEVER give your original passport in - it is illegal for anyone to take possetion of your book of life.
be so carefull people have no morrals
