...fellow black people

We all cry for equal rights, equal opportunity, equal this & equal that ...do we deserve it?

Born in 1974 - the ills of our country, our parents' sacrifices, our friends dying around us & being excluded from almost all places of significance - somehow made me an appreciative person (I believe). So how then is it possible that people born from such hardships can treat fellow black brothers & black sisters with such disrespect in their places of work? I do business with all sectors and more often then not - I meet fellow black people, who claim that they would rather do business with a white person, simply because they treat them with respect for those few short minutes.

(Public relations exercise) So my question to you is, how do we as black people market ourselves as professional, trustworthy, traditional loving people - when more and more complaints of abusive behaviour are reported against us, when vendors or small businesses would rather do business with our fellow white people?

Let us clean up our corner of the boxing ring before we take on more fights because I believe as black people we have become incredibly cold and selfish and that is not how we were raised …
