Press freedom

Press freedom is no different from individual`s freedom and I don`t see anything wrong with governments legislating that since the media has never proven itself to be indepent and ethical and so governments have the right to be sceptical.

The US GUARANTEED PRESS FREEDOM BY THE FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE CONSTITUTION MEANING THAT THE PRESS WILL KEEP TO ITS ETHICS AND THE GOVERNMENT WON`T INTEREFERE BUT THE PRESS HAS BEEN ABUSING THIS RIGHT RIGHT UP TO THE IRAQI ISSUE AND I THINK THE TOLERANCE OF WHITEHOUSE DESERVE SOME PRAISE.

The one-sidedness of its reporting of the Iraqi debacle is a matter for great concern. It has been campaigning and not reporting.

The same situation with Zimbabwe where the media is campaigning and not reporting. The notion of two-sides to every story applies to the media too but where is the other side in Zimbabwe and the US?!There are major achievements made by Bushes invasion in Iraq but the media is joining the anti-Bush fray.
