Harmony Drug rehad ad - Are they serious?

This festive season has left me with a strange taste in my mouth. sniff sniff

The Harmony drug rehab TV ad is pathetic and offensive, I mean portraying the rich and famous have a place where they can go to while their money goes to people, “underprivileged people” nogal what a joke. What the hell were and are they thinking?

When the creative's of this ad came together what were they thinking? Does anyone know who the ad agency is or was for this ad? Clearly they were smoking something or sniffing glue when they birthed this ad

The first time I saw this ad, I thought they were promoting some resort in Hout Bay, but alas, it was Harmony Drug rehab centre placed in "the beautiful metropolis of Hout bay." What a joke, what is the core message behind the messaging here? People from townships or from underprivileged areas aren't welcome, why? Because they don't binge on cocaine or sleep with drug induced hookers or party with the who's who around the world? What are they saying, that someone who has a drug problem and not that wealthy, or does not come from an esteemed family cannot attend this rehab centre even if they need and want help? The message I got, if you rich you can come to harmony, where they will milk you dry, while you recoup.

In my opinion, this ad is offensive and doesn't evoke empathy or encourages anyone to go to a rehab centre. If I was on drugs, super rich and partying around the world and saw this ad. I would be encouraged to continue by drug habit. Why? Because I would be throwing my money away and to top it off I won't go if I had money, because the life they are portraying is appealing to those who don't have money.
