Singing out the packages - Virgin Mobile V2V

To promote its latest product proposition V2V, free Virgin-to-Virgin on-nett calls, to potential customers within the retail environment, the company 'sings' the information with top end South African musicians.

Musos Shugasmakx of popular local group Skwatta Kamp and Lelo Ramasimong (a former top 10 finalist on South African Idols) are amongst the voices who belt out the latest phone and package details in a choice of five musical genres, including opera, jazz, house, rock and rap.

App produces voice messages for Facebook

The retail experience complements the overall V2V Beauty of Voice campaign, which will include interactive out of home elements, a Facebook App as well as a competition launching in December 2014.

The V2V Facebook App allows users to record a ten-second voice message and receive a unique sound wave for each recording. There are several voice-modulation options to choose from, each adding an interesting dimension to the voice, in addition to the option of recording a message in one's normal voice. Once the recording is complete, it can be sent directly to a users' phone and shared on Facebook. Users can then download their sound wave image and post as their Facebook cover photo.

The V2V proposition covers prepaid (V2V Booster), post-paid and top-up contracts and will run over a three month period effective from 1 November 2014, giving all new subscribers access to free V2V minutes.
