New marketing appointment at Unilever
LONDON, UK: Unilever has appointed Marc Mathieu to the new role of senior vice president of marketing, responsible for delivering a step-change in the company's marketing skills and capabilities and the development of the brand to enable the group to achieve its ambition of doubling the size of the business while reducing its environmental impact.

Reporting to Keith Weed, chief marketing & communications officer, Mathieu will join the business on 1 April 2011, having previously held senior marketing roles at Coca-Cola, where he developed the 'Coke side of life' communications platform and Danone.
"The fact that we have attracted a marketer of his calibre demonstrates just how exciting the group's marketing is right now. His appointment completes the redesign of my marketing, communications and sustainability leadership team. This talented group of individuals combines the knowledge, experience and energy to ensure we become an exceptional marketing company, consistently," said Weed.
