SA makes an impression in the print world

The Cape-based national company which distributes more than one million brochures a month, also won first place in the regional awards for a brochure advertising the Waterfront Boat Company.
The awards, made in San Diego California, followed judging of more than 17 000 brochures worldwide submitted by members of the Association of Professional Brochure Distributors, a 30-year-old international body. Only 51 nominees were eventually judged for the top positions by a panel of professional judges.
"We are doing everything we can to encourage the highest possible standards both in the distribution and the design quality of tourism brochures," says Craig Killeen, the CEO of Brochure Management.
Designed and printed by Shane Killeen, owner of sister company Brochure Print, the township tour brochure named number three in the world was for Zibonele Tours and Transfers. Among its services, the Cape Town company takes tourists on half-day tours of Langa, Gugulethu and Khayelitsha and includes a visit to a sangoma and the Amy Biehl memorial.
In South Africa, Brochure Management is spearheading an initiative to generate cross-marketing between regions and ensure that tourists can expect to find consistently high quality information wherever they travel.
"It is for this reason that we ally ourselves with and take an active part in the international brochure market where we have proved that we are also leaders," says Killeen.
