5FM makes changes to lineup

5FM's new lineup has what is describes as some exciting changes for the station's listeners. Starting 1 April 2012, the station will introduce brand-new shows with all new features.

From 1 April, Roger Goode will be bringing his music expertise and energy to an all-new Monday-Friday 7pm-10pm show, taking over from Rob Vember who remains with 5FM. He will be joined by 5FM's 'Zulu Maiden' Angie Khumalo who moves from the 12pm-3pm slot to join Roger as a show contributor.

7-10pm on weekends will belong to DJ Euphonik. In a first for 5FM, the Ultimix@6 expands from a popular feature into its very own show - Ultimix: Weekend Edition on Saturdays from 7pm-10pm, hosted by Euphonik. The show will see the best of the week's Ultimix@6 from The Fresh Drive. He will continue to host My House on Sunday nights in the 7pm-10pm slots.

5FM's morning and afternoon drive shows will stay the same with Gareth Cliff hosting 5FM Mornings from 6am-9am, with his team of Leigh-Ann Mol (news), Mabale Moloi (traffic), Sias du Plessis (sport) and producers Damon Kalvari and Thabo Modisane. The Fresh Drive, 3pm-7pm, will continue to stay the same with host DJ Fresh, alongside Poppy Ntshongwana (news), Catherine Grenfell (traffic) and Duran Collett (sport).

More 5FM lineup changes will be revealed next Thursday, 8 March 2012.
