Discovery Invest sponsors top leadership summit

Discovery Invest has signed a three year contract with Synchronised Marketing & Event Agency as primary sponsor of the Discovery Invest Leadership Summit. This year's event will be taking place on 22 July 2009 at the Sandton Convention Centre.

The speakers at the Leadership Summit are: Wendy Luhabe, Shaun Tomson, Sir Richard Branson, Malcolm Gladwell, Adrian Gore, Mathews Phosa and Ronnie Apteker.

This one-day summit brings together some of the most innovative and forward-thinking local and international business people, including Sir Richard Branson, Malcolm Gladwell, Adrian Gore, Shaun Tomson, Wendy Luhabe, Mathews Phosa and Ronnie Apteker.

The speakers will discuss cutting-edge approaches to leadership and share their insights into leadership tactics of the future, in an effort to cultivate South Africa's next generation of maverick thinkers.

The Discovery Invest Leadership Summit is organised by Synchronised Marketing & Event Agency, headed up by Dean Carlson - who has more than 10 years' eventing experience. Carlson has previously been involved with, amongst other things, national satellite broadcast events at venues across South Africa with renowned speakers such as Jack Welch, Lance Armstrong and Robert Kiyosaki.

“As a result of these events, I identified the need for more live events in South Africa with world-class speakers. This is what Synchronised Marketing & Event Agency plans to do, beginning with this first event, the Discovery Invest Leadership Summit,” says Carlson.

The Discovery Invest Leadership Summit draws local and international speakers from across a range of disciplines to analyse the complete spectrum of leadership today.

A major highlight is the participation of Sir Richard Branson, who will share his Business Stripped Bare concepts; and New Yorker staff writer, one of Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People and author of The Tipping Point, Blink and Outliers, Malcolm Gladwell, who will discuss ‘Outliers: why some people succeed and some don't'.

The Discovery Invest Leadership Summit takes place on 22 July 2009 from 730am until 5pm. Tickets cost R6555 per delegate, including VAT, finger lunch and refreshments, parking and conference material. Group discounts are available on request.
