Networking for SMEs
A joint networking venture between First National Bank, Prime Stars (a subsidiary of Primedia) and Frontrunner Publishing will be launched on Friday 19 August 2005 in collaboration with public and private sector industry leaders, including the Chambers of Commerce and Industry South Africa (CHAMSA) and the Umsobomvu Youth Development Fund.
FNB conducted research into its customer base after noticing the challenges faced by over 200,000 small to medium-sized business customers and found a pressing need among these entrepreneurs for support services, advice and mentorship across a range of business management areas that do not fall within the traditional focus of banking.
To curb the tide of start-up business failure in South Africa by creating a community of local businesspeople adept at well-informed risk-taking, Biznetwork will help grow small to medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in South Africa.
