The South Africa Football Association is calling on the public to wear their football jerseys with pride on Fridays in support of Banyana Banyana's campaign to finish among the top two teams at the eight-nation CAF African Women Championship 2010, to be held in Ekurhuleni, Gauteng, 31 October - 14 November 2010. If Banyana Banyana make the final, they will then go on to represent Africa at the FIFA Women's World Cup in Germany in June 2011.

"During the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the Rainbow Nation's people rallied in support of Bafana Bafana and now is the time to give the national senior women's football team the same amount of respect and support in their quest to qualify for their first FIFA World Cup," says SAFA first VP chief Mwelo Nonkonyana.

"Special thanks must go to Sasol for the loyal and passionate support that they have shown to women's football over the past two years as a proud sponsor of the Banyana Banyana and Sasol League women's competition. As a nation, let's stand together and finish this great 2010 football year in the best way possible, by cheering the Banyana Banyana on to a FIFA World Cup place."
