Nivasha Naidoo to market “station for the nation”
“I am absolutely thrilled with this new opportunity and welcome the challenge! I believe that as a public broadcaster, SABC2 has an immense role to play in shaping the future of the country. It's humbling to be a part of that process. There are big plans in the pipeline and viewers should expect some exciting developments. My mission is to take SABC2 to the next level with a new positioning; I want to create and leave a legacy which is every marketer's dream,” she stated.
Naidoo started her career in the broadcasting industry 10 years ago, when she was a marketing executive for ZEETV in 1998. She then moved onto M-Net in 2000 as a movie planner and thereafter settled in Cape Town for two years as senior transmission manager for e.tv (2002). Nivasha has been a brand manager for SABC2 for the past three years.
