Still time to enter Rhino conservation mountain bike race
The Zululand Adventure Ride, a race sponsored by various organisations concerned with conservation, including Grindrod Bank, will create awareness of the challenges faced in the fight against rhino poaching, while helping the Zululand Rhino Reserve to continue with its 100% success rate in protecting rhino in the reserve.
The race can cater for 200 riders and, with 120 places filled, keen mountain-bikers are encouraged to enter as soon as possible at www.rhinoadventureride.com.
Grindrod Bank CEO David Polkinghorne, a keen mountain biker himself, says, "Conservation has always been a cause closely linked to our business and a number of our clients are wildlife NGOs. We have already worked on rhino conservation with partnerships with the Wildlands Trust and Ezemvelo in place. This Zululand Rhino Adventure ride seemed an ideal opportunity to contribute further by creating awareness and fundraising for the conservation of rhino and their habitat."
