10 000 potholes gone
In a landmark achievement, the Dial Direct Pothole Brigade and Lead SA has responded to 150 000 South Africans with 13 000 reports, to use 63 000 litres of bitumen and 719.25 tons of aggregate since December 2010, to bring the number of repaired potholes up to 10 000.
"We are receiving a large number of reports each day and to keep up with this demand, we tripled our capacity and are now able to repair over 3000 potholes per month," says Bradley Du Chenne, senior executive of Dial Direct Insurance.
"If your pothole is within our scope of repair - we will fix it. If not, we'll report it to the Gauteng Provincial Department of Roads and Transport or the Johannesburg Roads Agency, which we working closely with, or other relevant roads agencies."
Keep reporting potholes online via www.leadsa.co.za or www.potholebrigade.co.za; by dialling *120*1551# on a cellphone or via the mobisite - www.potholebrigade.mobi.
