Extreme Makeover dentist visits SA

Celebrity dentist Dr Bill Dorfman has been in South Africa to support The Tomorrow Trust's charitable work among children affected by HIV and AIDS.

The Tomorrow Trust recently hosted celebrity dentist Dr Bill Dorfman, who is affectionately known as “America's Dentist”, for six days during April 2009. Dorfman came to South Africa to pledge his time and expertise in aid of the Tomorrow Trust and experience the stories of The Tomorrow Trust children at first hand. Dorfman is responsible for the dental transformations featured on the ABC series Extreme Makeover, which can be viewed on DSTV. He is also a lecturer and author of the cosmetic dentistry book, The Smile Guide and the New York best seller Billion Dollar Smile.

His celebrity clients include Usher, Jessica Simpson and Miley Cyrus. Additional information on Dr Bill Dorfman can be found on his official website www.williamdorfmandds.com or www.extrememakeoverdentist.com.

He came to South Africa to assist The Tomorrow Trust, and Tomorrow Trust founder Kim Feinberg, in making a difference to the lives of vulnerable and orphaned children who have been affected by HIV and AIDS. He arrived on 16 April and spent his six-day visit in South Africa giving seminars at dentistry and student workshops and charity functions.

The Tomorrow Trust is a not-for-profit organisation that is firmly committed to financing and supporting post-secondary education for orphans and vulnerable children. Its vision is to make a meaningful and sustainable impact on the lives of these children to enable them to become self-sufficient members of society. Through comprehensive holiday school support programmes and education initiatives, beneficiaries of The Tomorrow Trust are given the opportunity to become self-empowered and self-sustainable adults and released from charity to become proactive citizens in South Africa's society and economy.
