Great Ormond Street is a world-class children's hospital which treats over 150 000 patients every year. Most of those are children suffering from rare, complex and often life-threatening conditions. The exquisite evening was held to celebrate Great Ormond Street Hospital's relationship with Formula 1 and to raise vital funds to build a new Heart and Lung Centre.
The charity's patrons in attendance were Tess Daly and Vernon Kay. Formula 1 racing greats in support of the event were Lewis Hamilton, Ron Dennis, Giancarlo Fisichella and Heikki Kovalainen. Other invited guests included Rupert Everett, Thandie Newton, Geri Halliwell, Tamzin Outhwaite, Lemar and Robert Kazinsky. The high profile guests enjoyed food by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay while entertainment was supplied by celebrity DJ Michael Adam and an acoustic set by Jamie Scott and The Town wowed the crowds.
Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity is Bernie Ecclestone's official charity for the British Grand Prix.
