Win five free tickets: Watch editors grill politicians... and others
Confirmed speakers are wide-ranging and influential in light of the elections, and they include Malusi Gigaba, Helen Zille, Zwelinzima Vavi, Mamphela Ramphele, Thuli Madonsela, Max du Preez, David Lewis, Irvin Jim, Iraj Abedian, Jay Naidoo, Fatima Hassan and Sisonke Msimang. The panellists will be grilled, probed and questioned, in front of a live audience.
Says Styli Charalambous, CEO of Daily Maverick, "The initiative was created with the vision of bringing together great minds, a springboard for dialogue and speakers like no other. The South African electorate is starved of direct debate because of how our political systems are structured. This event brings the public closer to the people carving out the political landscape in our country. And more importantly, under the scrutiny of experienced journalists who are not afraid to ask the uncomfortable questions that the voting public wants to know."
Internationally acclaimed comedian, John Vlismas, will take centre stage as the host and MC, along with Tumi Morake, by providing their satirical and incisive commentary between the series of heated panel debates and discussions.
Bizcommunity.com, Daily Maverick in association with Nando's, and media partner eNCA, are giving away five free tickets to the event. And it's so easy to win. All we want you to do is suggest the question you would like to hear the editors ask.
We'll select what we reckon are the best/most original/most amusing/most insightful/most likely to have the recipient running for cover, and those will be the winning entries.
