WINE gets cheeky

Wine magazine has undergone a redesign to inject a bit of texture into the title, while the editorial has been tweaked to deliver a more opinionated read. New columns by wine fundis Michael Fridjhon and Neil Pendock and the magazine's deputy editor, Christian Eedes, are included along with photos of the editorial team, to create a sense of familiarity with those behind the words.

The content has been re-sequenced to give readers meaty, bite-size information upfront and more in-depth, albeit tighter, features further on, while covers will carry more provocative criers and more compelling visuals to enhance the magazine's 'pick-me-up' appeal at the newsstand.

One of the magazine's most popular elements, the restaurant critiques, has been bumped up to include more reviews and harder-hitting opinion.
