New editor for topCar magazine
Angus Thompson has been appointed as editor of topCar magazine, part of Media24. He has been the deputy editor for the last eight years, working alongside previous editors Deon Schoeman and Pierre Steyn.
His previous positions were deputy motoring editor of Citizen newspaper and guest editor of Wheels24.com website, where he developed his passion for digital media. He was SA Motoring Journalist of the year (magazines) in 2008 and served as a jury member for SA Car of the Year from 2003 to 2005.
The magazine's current readership figures are 907 000 (AMPS 2011A), the magazine's circulation is 19 764 (ABC Apr - Jun 2011) and the brand has 6 786 Facebook fans.
