New magazine on career guidance
Young Pioneers Mag (YPMag), a bi-monthly free career guidance publication targeted at South African high school learners in urban and rural areas, has launched in Gauteng. The initial recipients of the magazine's March/April 2011 print version are Barnato Park High and Jules High in Jeppestown, with the aim to cover more schools in Gauteng and nationally.
It aims to bridge the gap between high school and tertiary institutions by providing creative, fun and informative content for learners while exposing them to opportunities available in various sectors. It features Donna McCallum "The Fairy Godmother" career advice column, Young Achievers, learner contributions, book excerpts and give-aways.
A free downloadable version is available on www.youngpioneersmag.com for learners across the country.
