Magazines enter new space
Cosmopolitan magazine launched its Friday interviews, conducted via Twitter, to embrace the social media space and FHM changed its tagline for the first time in 10 years to support an Idols contestant.
Cosmo's first interview of 5FM DJ Anele (@Anele) was conducted live by the deputy editor, Cathy Lund (@COSMOcathy) giving readers an opportunity to follow and interact on Friday 8 October 2010. FHM has temporarily adjusted its tagline from "FHM It's a guy thing!" to the current "FHM It's an Adeline thing!" to encourage readers' support for 23-year-old Idols contestant Adeline Mocke. The magazine featured her in the FHM Calendar 2008 when she was 20 and this year she is number 39 on the FHM 100 Sexiest Women in the World list. She'll be on the cover of the next issue on sale at the end of October.
