Media24 not renewing seventeen magazine license
It is published under licence from Hearst Magazines International and has been going for ten years in South Africa.

"It has been a privilege to share the lives of thousands of South African girls through the magazine," says editor, Janine Jellars. "The December 2013 edition will be the last issue published by Media24 and my team and I are set on making it our best one ever."
"The team of eight young women are talented and we'll be offering them alternative opportunities within the group's magazines," says Liezl de Swardt, GM, Media24 women's magazines.
"This decision to close is based on the long term financial prospects of this brand," says John Relihan, CEO of Media24 Magazines. "The South African youth market remains an important focus for our group. We are developing a number of new projects, across different platforms and will continue to serve the South African youth market in relevant new ways."
The magazine is described as an excellent editorial product with a strong online component and a vibrant community of loyal readers.
