Charlie Parker, one of the largest independent retailers of ethnic hair products in South Africa, has just opened a new concept store in Maponya Mall, Soweto. Conveniently located on the ground floor, the new-look store aims to offer a complete hair and beauty shopping experience with a wide range of products and accessories.

As well as hair care products, accessories, wigs and hair extensions, Charlie Parker's new store also offers a selection of cosmetics, skin and bodycare products, homeware and gifting products.

According to Perry Bhavan, director at Charlie Parker, the brand, originally founded in 1988, had an opportunity to open a new store in one of the fastest growing and vibrant areas of Joburg. “Our customers enjoy shopping in an environment that is comfortable, convenient and attractive, which is what the new store aims to deliver, and Maponya Mall is the ideal environment in which to do this.”
