Massmart's Doug Jones resigns to take up job in Australia

Jones will officially exit his current role at the end of December 2021, and will be succeeded by Llewellyn Walters, the current chief executive officer at Massmart Retail who will take up leadership of Massmart Wholesale.
"[Walters] is a seasoned retailer who successfully integrated and settled the various banners that currently comprise the very successful Builders trading banner, when he joined the Massmart Executive Committee in 2008," Massmart said.
The Game and Builders CEOs, who previously reported to Walters in his retail role, will henceforth report directly to Mitch Slape, the Massmart group CEO.
The news of Jones's departure comes shortly after Clicks announced in September that its chief executive officer Vikesh Ramsunder resigned to take up a career opportunity as the CEO of a listed company in Australia.
