This year's competition received 50 entries from young makeup artists looking to launch their careers in the SA fashion industry and the 2010 eight finalists are Tennille Taylor, Stefanie Payendee, Kelly Boers, Donna Taylor, Jessica Muller, Bertha Raphasha, Dikedidi Susan Nakedi and Candisty Lundall.
They will compete against one another at the finals, to be held at The Runway in Cape Town on Thursday 13 May 2010. The judging panel consists of South African make-up artist Carl Isaacs, newly appointed beauty editor Lynette Botha and fashion director Chris Viljoen from the magazine and Clicks beauty category brand manager Thea Gutherie.
The winner will be given the opportunity to become the Max Factor ambassador at all their events, road shows and in the media for a year. She will also receive a trip to the annual global brand's conference, a full make-up kit from the sponsor, valued at approximately R18 000 and will assist on the magazine's fashion and beauty shoots, which includes receiving a credit as well as portfolio pictures.
