On 14 - 16 September 2006, the University of Western Cape's Health Promoting Schools Project will be hosting a National Conference at UWC. This conference will host academics and researchers from universities and research councils in South Africa, stakeholders from the Departments of Health, Education and Social Development, the Western Cape Reference Group for Health Promoting Schools and relevant non-governmental organizations.
A Health Promoting School (HPS) is a school that is constantly strengthening its own capacity as a healthy setting for living, learning and working according to the World Health Organisation. The initiative is sponsored by the European Union and the Department of Health to name but a few. Anyone working towards the development of health promoting schools, researching health promoting schools or working at the policy level on health promoting schools is invited to register as an abstract.

People can register their abstracts on the website, which is built on Realm Digital's Content Management System (rdCMS). The website is completely content managed. People can register online as it is integrated with the HPS website and they are given log in details where they'll have access to abstract related information that is not available to the general public.
This website has full e-Commerce functionality and makes provision for both credit and debit card payments. The rdCMS allows for monthly statistical reports to be drawn while client notifications and reservation management is easily maintained.

Details of the members and their abstracts are managed in the Customer Relationships Module (CRM). This comes in handy with regards to the sending of e-Newsletters. These e-Newsletters can be sent to members of the CRM in order to keep the abstracts up to date with their preparation for the conference.
Realm Digital is honoured to be involved with a conference of this nature and looks forward to building similar websites in the future.
