Minister acknowledges state of SABC
The Department of Communications has released a statement by its minister, Dina Pule, which states she has noted the issues and challenges facing the SABC.
According to the statement, she is aware of all the critical issues that need to be addressed to assist the public broadcaster to function efficiently; execute its mandate and serve the needs of South Africans.
Most importantly, she acknowledges it needs to stabilise its leadership and ensure that the board, management and the employees of the SABC adhere to all governance matters.
