Entries for 11th Eagles Print Awards now open
"It's all systems go for this year's awards. Let's celebrate our homegrown excellence with an element of fun, action and exploration. Let those groundbreaking ideas spring forth, culminating into an event to remember," says Margaret Ndawonde, marketing and promotions manager of the Inc.
Categories and awards
- Corporate
Any print advertising produced for a corporation, body or group in which the advertisement(s) promote the corporation, body or group to their profit or advantage.
- Product
Any print advertising produced in which the advertisement(s) promote or sell a specific, consumable product or service.
- Public service and charities
Any print advertising for a public service or charity that promotes the non-profit activities or services provided by the public service or charity.
- Best tactical use of medium
Any print advertisement that fulfils the requirements of any category except "Student", and where the advertisement tactically uses the medium in an original, engaging and/or interactive manner will meet the entry requirements.
- Campaign
A minimum of two and a maximum of six print elements that fulfil the requirements of either the "Product" or "Corporate" categories will be considered a "Campaign".
- Student - The Fledgling Eagle
Any print advertisement produced by a student who is studying at a recognised university, university of technology or college during the time of judging will meet the entry requirements.
All work entered must have been client-approved and appeared in mass-media publications for the first time between the period 1 September 2005 and 31 July 2006 to qualify.
The work must be mounted on black card, not exceeding a maximum size of A2. All work must also be written onto a CD as high-res jpg, A5 size at 150dpi and must be included along with the A2-mounted work. The CD should be clearly marked with agency's name, title of ads and categories entered.
