FCB specialist agencies team up to design SAIL Group annual report
Specialist agency FCB Design, in partnership with its sister company, FCB Jonssons, won the competitive bid to design and compile the new annual report for SAIL Group Limited, the R185-million-a-year South African sports investment powerhouse.
Consistent with the nature of SAIL's business – sports brand ownership and sports-related media and services – the roughly 100-page document mimicked the form of a sports magazine, complete with magazine-style printing, binding and presentation. The report was designed by FCB Design and written by FCB Jonssons investor relations specialist, Stephanie Leclercq. The design theme built on the previous year's report but, at the client's request, 'pushed the envelope a little further', explains Kim Kullmann, general manager of FCB Design. 'We were looking to capture the essence of SAIL's operations, with particular emphasis on the sponsorship events side of things.'
