Twenty students will be viable to receive an education sponsorship, thanks to a partnership between CityVarsity and the Gauteng Film Commission. The memorandum of understanding between CityVarsity and the Gauteng Film Commission is aimed at assisting those students who are financially incapable of paying their tuition fees.
The sponsorship is also open to existing students who are unable to complete their studies due to financial complications. In addition to the funding, the film commission will host workshops aimed educating students on how to apply for jobs, putting together a proposal, and what to expect in a real life work environment in addition to helping graduates find job placements.
