Bridging digital divide, ICASA has provincial campaign
The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) will run provincial campaigns 15-28 March 2012 under the theme 'Advance the Building of a Digital Society, Reach out and Bridge the Digital Divide.' This is its celebration of World Consumer Rights Day on 15 March 2012.

Its objectives are to provide:
- a platform for communities to engage with the authority and the licensees on access to communication services
- a platform for licensees to update communities about their vision on universal service and access to communications services
- a platform for the authority to update communities on the regulation of ICT sector
- an opportunity for consumers to lodge their complaints with the authority at the campaigns

16 March 2012 - Bushbuckridge, Mpumalanga; Nkonkobe, Eastern Cape and Bongolethu Township, Oudtshoorn
19 March 2012 - Mafefe, Limpopo
20 March 2012 - Umzumbe, Kwazulu-Natal
23 March 2012 - Maboloka, North West and Kuruman, Northern Cape
28 March 2012 - Carletonville, Gauteng
