South African films to feature at ZIFF

The festival starts on 18 July with SELMA, a fitting tribute to Nelson Mandela on his birthday. The next few days will see various South African films being screened as well as a public forum on Pan-Africanism.
19 July will be South Africa Day at ZIFF, the powerful documentaries Miners Shot Down and City of Violence will be screened, along with two episodes from Danny Schechter's Beyond the Long Walk series.
A Pan-Africansim panel will take place on Wednesday 22 July, hosted by The Lab Community, a group of artists, development practitioners and scholars whose objective is to support community development based in the principles and values of equality, justice, caring, acceptance, non-violence, sustainability and cooperation.
