Eco-friendly printing inks website formed
To support and promote 'green' large format printing practices in the industry, Midcomp, supported by HP, has formed the Latex League, a website that informs and educates end users, ad agencies, corporates, marketers, advertising executives and designers about latex print technology, considered an eco-friendly printing technique.
This follows a recent survey conducted by the company which indicated that 75% of the respondents were in support of eco-friendly printing practices.
The website allows users to search for a latex print provider by region and view a profile page per company that lists the respective company's products, services and contact details. Latex printing offers water-based inks, which contain no Hazardous Air Particles (HAP's) or biocides, are non-flammable, non-toxic, odourless and contain very low VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds).
