Comutanet's U-Driver Policy pays out

Taxi driver, Mr Ramabopa was tragically killed in a recent road accident, but because he was driving a taxi carrying ComutaNet advertising his family received some financial compensation from ComutaNet's U-Driver Life Assurance Policy.

Earlier this month a cheque for R25 000 was presented to his widow at the Bloed Street taxi rank by ComutaNet executives. Members of the SOTOA Taxi Association were there to witness the proceedings.

ComutaNet's U-Driver Life Assurance Policy is free to all drivers of vehicles carrying ComutaNet advertising and covers taxi drivers who have been involved in accidents whilst in transit.

"As a company that only advertises on registered and legal taxis, we have established an excellent relationship with the Department of Transport, locally, provincially and nationally. The death of Mr Ramabopa is extremely unfortunate but we hope that the payment his wife received will ease some of her financial burden," says Kenny Maomela, ComutaNet's Deputy Chairman.
