Seeing the change in action

The audience for the South African series on good corporate citizenship, Kaelo - The Miracle Stories, screened on SABC 2, has doubled since the show started in January, with numbers tripling in LSM 8-10.

This week's episode featured Cyril Ramaphosa's efforts to bring about change in South Africa. He featured in an indepth interview and profile and in regard to his Shanduka Adopt-A-School programme which develops impoverished schools to create an environment conducive to learning and teaching.

Next week sees how Yebo Gogo has become a symbol of success for millions of formerly disadvantaged South Africans through Vodacom's entrepreneur-owned phone shops. More than 70 million calls a month are made at these community public cellular phones by between three and four million customers, providing local entrepreneurs in disadvantaged communities with good income and customers with competitive rates.
