No repeats on Jacaranda 94.2

Jacaranda 94.2 has implemented a 'no repeat' policy in its daytime play listing, the latest in a string of programming innovations at the station this year. The station is moving away from short play lists, a factor they say contributes to monotonous programming.

Programme manager Lloyd Madurai says: "If you listen to the station between 9am and 4pm, Clayton Robbertze and Maurice Carpede will not play the same song twice. Songs on condensed play lists are repeated continually."

Madurai points out that listenership has grown since the station's rebrand and repositioning: "The response from our audience has been tremendously positive. The No Repeat policy we have instituted is expected to build on our success even further."
