Million Rand richer for 2012

Igor Najbicz, of G&G Productions, the event organisers, said, "We are proud to have welcomed 2012 in with such style. Both the Cape Town and Ballito events ran smoothly with no major incidents to report. All whom attended had a memorable night, none more so however than Lerato Mabelane, who became South Africa's newest millionaire."
Vodacom 4U and Samsung provided the VIP areas, which included 'Photo bomb' activations where people had an opportunity to make a lasting memory and win a brand new Samsung handset.
"Biggest and best"
As the official 5FM event, it featured all the top station's DJs including Roger Goode, Euphonik, DJ Fresh, Gareth Cliff, KB and Poppy.

Cliff added, "This year's New Years' Eve party in Ballito and the live satellite link with Cape Town has been the biggest and best we've ever had in South Africa. What the event organisers have succeeded in doing is making Ballito and Cape Town the locations for a South African style 'Times Square' New Year celebration. This feat was achieved by an inordinate amount of planning and effort over many years and has firmly established their events as pre-eminent on the holiday calendar. Congratulations to all involved."
