SOE's must implement changes
State-owned enterprises (SOEs) must implement significant changes in order to benefit black accountants according to an article published in EngineeringNews. It quotes Public Enterprises Minister, Malusi Gigaba's suggestion that transformation measures must be implemented by these companies.
He was meeting with black accounting firms regarding problems in the accounting industry. According to representatives of various accounting firms, black accountants were overlooked by SOEs and were being refused lucrative tenders for accounting work.
EngineeringNews says that the accountants had asked Gigaba to intervene on their behalf.
